If anything’s happening, it’s not going to be tonight. MDC have just held a press conference, where Tsvangirai has dismissed rumours of talks and stated that they’re happy to wait for ZEC to finish announcing the official results. There’s been no word from Mugabe either way.

And as if by magic, as soon as the MDC press conference is over, the ZEC release another small batch of results, and - shock! horror! - the parties are still essentially tied: MDC/Tsvangirai 77, MDC/Mutambara 5, Zanu-PF 78. It’s 10:10pm in Zimbabwe now, so that’s probably all the excitement for today. For some, the lack of movement after all the speculation will be like coming down from a high.
