Almost There…

4pm Zim time update from the ZEC:
MDC/Tsvangirai 96, MDC/Mutambara 9, Independent (Moyo) 1, Zanu PF 94.
7 seats still to declare, so Zanu-PF could reach 101, or potentially 104 once the 3 seats that need to go to by-elections have been run. MDC combined have 105.
Barring any unholy alliances between MDC/Mutambara and Zanu-PF (can’t see [...]

Crunching the Numbers

Another quiet morning at ZEC - last update was 11am Zim time, and the totals are now MDC/Tsvangirai 91, MDC/Mutambara 5, Zanu-PF 93.
A group of NGOs have completed their sweep of the polling stations and have given their prediction based on the “scores on the doors”: MDC/Tsvangirai 99, Zanu-PF 95, MDC/Mutambara & others 12. [...]

It’s a strange morning - after all the excitement around the rumours last night, things seem much calmer. ZEC released another batch of House of Assembly results earlier this morning, and no surprise the parties are still tied: MDC/Tsvangirai 91, MDC/Mutambara 5, Zanu-PF 91 (plus 1 from a constituency where they were unopposed).
